About The Venue

The name Ramathra honours Lord Rama, who, it is believed, camped here while on his epic journey to Lanka. Today, Ramathra Fort belongs to Thakur Brijendra Raj Pal and his family who are descendents of the founder.

The fort has a strong perimeter wall crowned with parapets. Its ramparts are wide and offer a spectacular view from the hilltop. Inside there is a multi-story palace, parts of which are being restored using traditional building techniques and local crafts people. One can sit on top of the fort’s massive outer wall and look out over farmland, rugged scrub of the Daang plateau, Kalisil Lake and its irrigation canal. Sunrises are especially spectacular and at twilight one can watch herds returning from the jungle or blue bull grazing in the forest scrub below.

Ramathra offers a “wilderness” experience as well as a tranquil setting in what is still Rajasthan’s pristine countryside. Its proximity to the perennial Kalisil lake is its most outstanding locational advantage which makes this a haven for bird lovers. With no disturbing urban influences, its serene natural surroundings and tranquil atmosphere makes it an ideal escapade for immersions into rural life.

Ramathara Fort has 6 Luxury tents 🎪; 2 suite rooms; and 4 more rooms. Luxury tents are available on a first come first serve basis. We have 20 spots in total.
Ticket size involves facilitation; accommodation at Ramathara Fort from 1st-3rd February,2024. Check out will be on the 4th February, 2024.
Travelling charges are not included in the retreat ticket.
Lunch, Hi-tea and dinner will be available on February 1, 2023. Breakfast, lunch and dinner along with hi-tea are covered for February, 2 and 3. Breakfast will be available on February 3, 2024.
The ticket for the retreat is non-transferable and remains only in the name of the registered person.
In case of cancellation 50% will be adjusted in other classes, please intimate by 15^th December 11:59PM IST. Else no amount will be refunded on cancellation.
